Dear Friend,
On April 18, 1775, Paul Revere rode from Boston to Lexington, Mass., to sound a warning of impending danger—the British were coming! The enemy threatened homeland, families, and freedom.

In a short time, I’ll be on my way to America’s Northeast to preach the Gospel in seven states. I want to warn Christians about a threat we face today—the sweeping impact godless secularism is having on our nation, on our children, and on our grandchildren. We must be diligent about controlling what goes into their minds and hearts, and we must invest in—and pray for—the next generation.
The Bible says, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59:19 NKJV). As secularism continues its march to rid our country of God, I want to call on the church to stand boldly for the truth of God’s Word—the only eternal truth.
The Northeast states, like America as a whole, need a spiritual transformation that only Jesus Christ can offer. This is tough ground. Once a lighthouse of Christianity in our nation, the Northeast region today has eight of the 10 most secular cities in America.
Yet so many people long for something more. When we went on the Decision America Tour to all 50 state capitals in 2016, I saw how hungry the churches in the Northeast were and how responsive the people there were to the Gospel. Many Christian leaders have shared with us that they believe the time is right and the area is ready for awakening.
In the Bible, God says, “I was found by those who were not looking for Me; I revealed Myself to those who were not asking for Me” (Romans 10:20, HCSB). Pray that God, in His love, will open the hearts of many who have until now ignored Him—or even opposed Him.
If you live near any of the cities where we will be, I ask you to make plans to come, to bring your unsaved friends and family, and to urge your church to participate. Fill a bus if you can! I still believe the only hope for this country is God—and that hope can be fleshed out through His church, which can be found in every community across the country.
I’m calling on the church to come to these events and bring the lost who need to hear the truth of the Gospel.
I want to see souls saved from Hell and to see the brokenness of sin canceled by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ in a person’s life. At each stop on the tour, I will preach the Gospel and invite men and women to turn to Jesus Christ in repentance and faith. I will also ask Christians to stand with me in prayer, calling out to God together for the people of these states and for the future of our country.
Pray that people across Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and upstate New York will know that there’s a God who loves them—and pray for people in your own community who need Jesus.
Remember, our nation was birthed in the Northeast. This one-time bastion of evangelical Christianity has been conceded in defeat by some, but I say it’s worth fighting for! Your involvement at any level is urgently needed. Will you join us as we go to the Northeast and battle for souls?
May He richly bless you,
Franklin Graham
