Will Graham to Sign His First Book at the Billy Graham Library Today

By   •   June 3, 2019

In a special book signing at the Billy Graham Library, Will Graham will sign copies of his new book Redeemed: Devotions for the Longing Soul today from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Will dedicated the devotional to his grandfather, writing, "To my grandfather, Billy Graham, who 'changed addresses' shortly after I finished writing this book." In late March, a crowd visited with Will during a book signing in South Carolina.

For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.
—Psalm 107:9, ESV

Though they were more than 50 years apart in age, Billy Graham and his grandson, evangelist Will Graham, both knew this to be true—the world is full of “longing souls.”

Today, Will Graham will be at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina, signing copies of his new book Redeemed: Devotions for the Longing Soul. In his first-ever book, which was released in fall 2018, Will Graham focuses on God’s message of love and redemption.

“People are desperate for hope and goodness,” he writes. “Deep inside their souls they are hungering for something, but they don’t know what that is.”

Will Graham has said that doing a book signing makes him realize his unworthiness compared to Christ. “It’s humbling,” he said. “I just pray that God is honored and lifted high through this and through the book.

“I do hope that people will take the time to come out, if they’re able,” Will continued. “I love visiting and getting to know new people, and am looking forward to that aspect of the book signing. Plus, they’ll get to tour the Billy Graham Library and see how God used my grandfather to proclaim the Gospel around the world.”

Since 2006, Will Graham has shared the Good News at evangelistic events on six continents. In Redeemed, he challenges readers to take an inventory of their faith, and to start or reignite their relationship with God. Will asks, “Is there more to life than this? What is my purpose? … Does God love me or even care about me?”

Each devotion includes Biblical teaching, personal stories from Will’s life and ministry, a prayer and quote from Billy Graham. As well, photos from Will’s and his family’s ministry are sprinkled throughout the 50 entries. Today’s book signing will be held 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It’s free and open to the public.

Books will be available for purchase in Ruth’s Attic bookstore, or you may bring your own. Limit of two signed items per person (one item must be Redeemed). For more information, please call 704-401-3200 or email LibraryEvents@bgea.org.

Will Graham also serves as vice president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and as executive director of the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in Asheville, North Carolina.
