Q:

Did God know all about us before we were born? And did He give our souls to us at some specific time? Or are they just part of our natural birth?

A:

Yes, God knew all about us even before we were born. In fact, He gave our lives to us, and we are here because He created us and allowed us to be born. The Bible says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you” (Jeremiah 1:5).

Furthermore, it’s important to remember that God not only made our body and our mind (through the natural processes He created), but He also gave us our soul or spirit, which is the part of us that is able to know God. We aren’t just bodies or minds; if we were, we would be like every other animal (although unique because of our abilities). We also were created in the image of God.

The Bible certainly implies that we are given our souls right from the first. When the Virgin Mary, the mother of our Lord, visited her cousin Elizabeth, the baby growing in Elizabeth’s womb responded: “As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy” (Luke 1:44).

Why is this important? First, it tells us that all human life–including that of the unborn–is sacred in God’s eyes and must not be wantonly destroyed. Second, it tells us that God wants us to know Him! God loves us and He wants to come into our lives and begin to change us from within. Is this happening in your life? It can, by opening your heart and life to God’s Son, Jesus Christ.

So we were little bitty spirits already in heaven just asking the father, God to be born.

I don’t understand knowing us before we were born. In Jeremiah 1: 5 God was specificly speaking to Jeremiah. The Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah for Jeremiah. Verses 4 to 10.

Does being formed means the same as conceived? I don’t think so.

We are given our Spirit at conception and we are created for Himself! For anyone that doesn’t feel that their life is important, just take that in! The Lord gave us a part of Himself, by His design for His good purpose to make this world a better place! What an honor it is to serve Him, what an honor that he would place us in the lives of others to do His good work through us. How valuable we all are.

I was raised in a Christian household but my true relationship began when I had a near death experience. I had a fall and I was freed from my body and was a witness to my soul and to the piece we can feel when freed from the body. One of the most important things has happened recently when I was praying About a crisis in my life. I asked God what it was that I was missing and I asked him very boldly with deep felt purpose and almost instantly I received this message.

You are a spirit first, and you are never separate from me!

It nearly took the wind right out of me!

We are at the beginning of our eternal life and are living it now! In Christ we are seated at the fathers right hand, never separate!

    God Bless!

I don’t know if I can believe this. God knew us before we were born because he decides who will be husband and wife. Not because we are spirits. Once conception takes place the man and woman is under control of God and he builds or changes anything in the womb he wants. Death, deformity, and anything he decides. The DNA or whatever, of the mother and father will change if God would like it be different.

But did we know god? What about Proverbs 8:22-31. Especially vs. 30. …I was beside Him….and I was beside Him as a master craftsman, and I was daily His delight rejoicing always before Him….
