Unity in Scripture

Man holding Bible

Although one can derive inspiration from any portion of the Scripture, it is better to have an understanding of the general structure of the Bible to get the most out of it. The Old Testament is an account of a nation, Israel. Out of that nation came Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. The New Testament is an account of a Man, the Son of man, the Savior. God Himself became a man, so that we might know what He is like. His appearance on the earth was the central, most important event of history. The Old Testament gives the background for this event; the New Testament tells the story of its fulfillment. You will find a unity of thought and purpose which indicates that one mind inspired the writing of the whole.

Can the Bible be trusted? Billy Graham explains

Although I was raised Christian, I didn’t really believe. About 12 – 23 years ago, I started praying to God “I want to believe. Please, God, I want to believe.” It took several months of saying that daily until one evening I was reading a book by Billy Graham wherein he talked about how some people doubted the Bible, and I said “Every word of the Bible is true. God gave us every word and it’s all true.” Then it hit me. I believed! I knew it in my mind, heart and soul that every word of the Bible was true! I was so excited that God had answered my prayer. I got down on my knees and thanked Him.

Since then I have been reading the Bible and reading commentaries by men like Charles Ryrie, Arnold Fruchtenbaum, Lewis Sperry Chafer and others.

Second Timothy 3:16 clearly states that all Scripture is God breathed. In other words there is no error from cover to cover. Every promise as stated has been or will be fulfilled. What an honour and a privilege to have such an incredible treasure at our fingertips. Thank you precious Lord for the gift of your Holy word.

There are many preachers and evangelists whom God is using to spread His Word and rivers of living waters have flown over them, blessing many, as in the old covenant. With Rev. Billy Graham, John 7:38 is true, for the rivers of living waters are flowing out of his innermost being, as in the new covenant. The aroma of Christ is all over him as can be sensed from Prov.4:18 and II Cor. 3:18. Thank You, Lord. Amen!
