If you are moving to a new home, you want to know all about the community to which you are going. And since we will spend eternity some place, we ought to know something about it. The information concerning heaven is found in the Bible. When we talk about heaven, earth grows shabby by comparison. Our sorrows and problems here seem so much less, when we have keen anticipation of the future.

In a certain sense the Christian has heaven here on earth. He has peace of soul, peace of conscience, and peace with God. In the midst of troubles and difficulties he can smile. He has a spring in his step, a joy in his soul, a smile on his face. But the Bible also promises the Christian a heaven in the life hereafter.

Prayer for the day

Father, as I face whatever trials come my way, I will take heart in the glorious promise of heaven—knowing I shall be with You!

I take great comfort when I read scriptures daily. Some scriptures are well known , like John 3:16 . Similarly there’s also 2 Timothy 3:16 . Perhaps not as well-known but also very significant. For it clearly states that all Scripture is “God breathed”. That means every word and promise , from cover to cover of his Holy Word is true and accurate. As believers we can take great comfort and joy , knowing for certain that we will spend eternity there in his presence. Think about that for a minute. What a promise…..that’s as good as it gets.

Why we have to live in this world with mean people

    1. Pat Montgomery says:

Dear Breyonda, Its a sinful world the Bible tells us, but when the mean people seem to outnumber us it’s easy to lose heart or question the cruelty. But God tells us to never tire of doing good. Stay strong, for our faith in the unseen who is stronger than anything that wants to steal, kill and destroy us God’s loved children will never leave us. I don’t have all the answers and I’m told I don’t have to have them. But to never tire of doing good. Jesus said in John 15:18 “.. they hated Him first”. Stay strong dear lady, FOR OUR SAVIOR IS COMING.
