Yes, of course it would — and I urge you to do so. God is concerned about every part of our lives, and the most important thing we can do when we face decisions is commit them to Him and seek His guidance.

This wouldn’t be true if God didn’t care about us. But He does care — and my prayer is that you will discover this in a new way as you think about your future. God loves you and knows all about you; He knows what’s right for you and where you ought to be in the future. Could anything be more important than being in God’s will — and knowing it?

How can you know what God wants you to do? Begin by committing not just your future, but your whole life, to Jesus Christ. He wants to come into your life and be your companion every day, helping you do what is right. Ask Christ to come into your life today, and make it your goal to follow Him.

Then pray for God to guide you and give you peace, confirming in your mind and heart what way is right. Don’t trust your emotions; they can mislead you or fill you with self-doubt. The Bible says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it'” (Isaiah 30:21). Then step out in faith, trusting He is with you.
