Chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT)—based in Charlotte, North Carolina—ministered to officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Friday as they honored fallen Officer Joshua Eyer.

The 31-year-old husband and father was killed in Monday’s shootout that left four law enforcement officers dead and four others injured.

“We know that [the officers] seeing the chaplains here, supporting them, praying for them, it really gives them hope,” said Eric Hubbard, deputy director for the Billy Graham National Law Enforcement Ministry.

“That hope comes from the Lord Jesus Christ.”
