Encouraging People in Christ After Catawba County Flood

It is very special when someone takes time to pray for you during whatever difficult situation you're facing in life. Will you pray for the residents of North Carolina and other states who've experienced loss from natural disasters recently?
The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team is ministering alongside Samaritan's Purse in Catawba County, North Carolina, following recent storms that flooded homes. The affected area is located in between the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Samaritan's Purse headquarters in Boone, North Carolina.
Hickory, the largest city in Catawba County, North Carolina, declared a state of emergency after the June 10 flood. Officials say there was significant infrastructure damage to bridges, streets and other public spaces. Many residents had to leave their flooded homes.
Chaplains carefully cross a washed-out bridge during a day of ministry to nearby residents.
When people make a decision for Christ, they receive a Bible and lots of encouragement in their relationship with Him.
This cute pooch doesn't seem to mind the visitors.
Billy Graham chaplains listen to people's stories and many times hear them say how much they've leaned on God throughout their trials.
Though the excessive rain is gone, stress from the floodwaters can linger. It helps to turn your worries over to God, who cares what you've been through.
Praying for this Catawba County resident's needs and her decision to confess her sins and follow Christ for the first time.
Billy Graham chaplains have a heart for genuinely loving people through Christ's eyes. As they go into communities, chaplains share God's compassion for the challenges people face and encourage them to trust Him in all circumstances.
