Christ in the Capital: Franklin Graham Preaches Jesus in Raleigh, NC
Franklin Graham is traveling across his home state of North Carolina to share the
Good News of Jesus Christ
and to encourage people to pray for the United States.
North Carolina's capital city, Raleigh, marked the halfway point of the
Decision America Tar Heel State Tour
.

Franklin Graham's friend Dennis Agajanian has been sharing his musical gifts onstage with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association since the '70s. The crowd in Raleigh loved his fast picking and his songs praising Jesus.
Musician Jeremy Camp is joining Franklin Graham on all eight stops of the
Decision America Tar Heel State Tour
.
Jeremy took a few moments to talk about losing his first wife, Melissa, to cancer. He told the crowd he found himself at a crossroads: get angry at God and run away from Him, or choose to trust Him. Jeremy chose to trust. Next year, that part of his story will be portrayed in a new movie called "I Still Believe." He later remarried, and his wife, Adrienne, often joins him onstage to share her vocal talents.

Things turned serious on Sunday night as Franklin Graham talked about sin. He preached from the book of Luke, at the end of chapter 17, where Jesus talks about the destruction of the city of Sodom.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
." (Romans 6:26)
Franklin Graham didn't pull any punches when he talked about the penalty of sin. But he also emphasized the grace and forgiveness of God, telling the crowd God would forgive their sins that very moment if they
turned to Jesus in repentance and faith
.
Prayers and spiritual conversations took place across the arena after Franklin Graham gave an invitation to accept Christ.
Before the start of the tour event in Raleigh, Franklin Graham invited his sister, Anne Graham Lotz, to speak to some of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's supporters. Anne has publicly shared about walking with God through her recent cancer diagnosis and treatment. She is currently doing well and beginning to get back to her busy schedule as an evangelist, author and speaker.
Everyone who attends the Decision America Tar Heel State Tour has the chance to get a free T-shirt. Volunteers of all ages help make the event and giveaway possible.
The Decision America Tar Heel State Tour
continues in Greensboro, Hickory, Charlotte and Asheville. The next leg of the Decision America Tour is scheduled to take place across
Florida
in January.
