Crisis-trained chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team first deployed to Billy Graham's hometown of Charlotte on Wednesday to offer emotional and spiritual care in the aftermath of civil unrest.
Hundreds filled Charlotte's Marshall Park on Wednesday for a peaceful rally.
"There's a lot of hurting people," Rapid Response Team manager Kelly Burke said. "People have questions. People are fearful. And a lot of people were very into prayer."

Tensions boiled over on Wednesday night in Charlotte as some protesters turned to rioting, while the police began to deploy tear gas.

Chaplains were blessed by many opportunities to just sit down and talk with Charlotteans.
Many walked right up to the Rapid Response Team's Mobile Ministry Center when it was parked at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, seeking spiritual guidance.
Chaplains had the chance to talk with many just walking down the street in Charlotte.
