My husband died several months ago (of cancer), and they have been the hardest months of my life. People try to cheer me up by saying he’s in heaven now, and I believe it, but it doesn’t take away the hurt. How can I get over this?

My baby sister died when she was only a few months old, so I barely remember her (I was 6 at the time). Do you think I’ll recognize her when I get to heaven? It may sound strange, but I’ve always felt lonely without her since I didn’t have any other brothers or sisters.

I know you’ve probably been asked this many times, but do we go immediately into God’s presence when we die, or do we sleep (so to speak) until the end of time, when all the dead will be raised? I think about this often because my husband died last year, and I wonder if he’s in heaven yet.
My own reading of the Bible has convinced me that when a believer dies, he or she immediately goes into the presence of God.

Do we become angels when we die so we can watch over our loved ones here on earth?
Billy Graham writes, "I know it's often said that someone becomes an angel when they die and go to heaven ... However, this isn't exactly what the Bible teaches."
