Does God reveal things through dreams and visions?

The Bible indicates that God revealed His will to selected people through dreams or visions in Scriptures such as Genesis 37:5-10; 1 Kings 3:5-15; Daniel, chapters 2 and 7; Matthew 1:20; 2:13,19; and Acts 10:9-16; 16:9.

God may communicate through dreams or visions even today, but we need to carefully check any such guidance we receive with Scripture and godly counsel to be sure it is from the Lord. Anything which contradicts Scripture is not from God. Our minds and even Satan are capable of producing great deception in such subjective areas.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 shows that God has revealed His will to us primarily through His Word. It says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

  2. Desiree says:

I am here to seek answers and also prayer. I’ve been going through some changes lately financially, emotionally and I don’t know why. But I have faith that a change is going to come. I have faith that God is about to bless me and my family beyond measures. But here’s my story I constantly have dreams about my ex, it happens all the time. Its always good stuff. Like how he and I become very successful in life, in so much long. I’m just so confused because its been happening for a couple of years now. I’m wondering its a sign from God. Is he in fact my soulmate? Could it be possible. ?

God gave my wife and I both the same vision 5 years ago but we did not have a good understanding of this vision until just recently when God brought it back to us both (separately) and with such clarity revealed to us that vision was in fact “the church” that I was interviewing for the pastorate position and now have. God is so awesome!

    2. Ashley Hemphill says:

My testimony: Just wanted to share my journey with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ for the past few years. God gave me a dream and I was in the sand on my knees on a beach in the dark and many people were around me crying and crawling towards the waves and I looked up and Jesus Christ was coming over the waves with His great holy power and He was wearing a long white robe and He shined His face on my like a ray of sunshine or like a lighthouse, and He told me “Be still, and I will take care of everything” ..then I woke up and it happened to be my birthday 🙂 that was the first time I saw Jesus.

    3. Debra Johnson says:

Leslie The says: (Romans 10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shall be save. When you do this according to the Word of God, you are saved my sister. I decree and declare that you will be saved as of today.
