Franklin Graham will deliver a 30-minute inspirational message and the invocation during pre-race festivities at the 50th running the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Graham will address the crowd at 2:30 p.m. EDT from the stage located at the superspeedway’s start-finish line and his message will be broadcast on the speedway’s public address system. At approximately 5:45 p.m., just prior to the green flag, Graham will deliver the invocation before the singing of the “Star Spangled Banner.”
Saying he’s been a race fan most of his life, Franklin Graham called the opportunity to speak and pray at the speedway “a real privilege.”
In addition to Graham’s message and invocation during pre-race, he will also assist with Motor Racing Outreach’s Sunday service to the drivers and team members in the garage.
