Answer
Our son got hooked on drugs, eventually got caught dealing drugs and now is in prison. This has broken our hearts, of course, but what hurts almost as much is that no one in our church ever asks about him or says they're praying for him (or us). Shouldn't they be concerned?
Answer
I'm 16, and I asked Jesus to come into my life this past summer at a camp I was attending. But my parents don't want anything to do with religion and won't even let me go to church. Will God be mad at me because I don't go to church?
Answer
We moved to a new town a few months ago, and at first we thought we'd found the right church for us. But the longer we're there, the more we realize that it's an older church and not very welcoming to new people. We like the pastor very much, but should we go somewhere else?
Answer
Whenever our church celebrates communion (or the Lord's Supper, as some call it), our pastor always tells us to examine ourselves to be sure we won't be sinning when we participate. Does this mean you have to be perfect before you take communion? I know I'm not perfect.
Answer
I'm a student from a country that has only a few Christians. I'd like to learn more about Christianity, but I'm confused because you have so many different churches here. Someone said to write you for suggestions.
Answer
I suppose you've heard this before from other people, but I don't go to church and don't see any real reason to start going.
Answer
I'm in jail serving a two-year sentence, and I know I deserve it so that's not the issue. What gets me is the people at church.
Answer
Do you think there will be denominations in heaven (like Baptists, Methodists, and so forth)? A friend of mine is very committed to his own denomination, and sometimes I wonder if he thinks people from any other church are going to be there.
Answer
Does the Bible say anything about how a Christian should dress for church?
Answer
We moved last year and are attending a new church, but I'm afraid the pastor has turned us off because he talks about money so much. I know they have a lot of debt on their building and need money, but shouldn't he stop focusing on this so much? Or should we just change churches?
Answer
I have a bad back, and I just can't sit in one place for more than a few minutes. This means I've stopped going to church, but is God going to be angry at me because I stay at home now instead of attending church?
Answer
Our church has been going through some difficulties lately, and it suddenly struck me that our main problem is that we're all wrapped up in ourselves.
