Seminole, Oklahoma, Shaken By Two Tornadoes
The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) is deployed to Seminole, Oklahoma, to comfort and share God's hope with the community. About an hour east of Oklahoma City, parts of Seminole were hit by two tornadoes within 48 hours last week, according to news reports.
Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) chaplains listen to a resident's horror story after one of the twisters blew the bricks off her house and also uprooted a giant tree.
News reports say one of the tornadoes, an EF2, was nearly a mile wide—destroying homes and businesses along a 31-mile path.
As residents recall nerve-wracking details of the storm, chaplains are there to provide emotional and spiritual support.
A chaplain is careful to maneuver through debris.
"The tornadoes that swept through Oklahoma are heartbreaking to see," said Josh Holland, international director of the BG-RRT. "It’s devastating when there is so much destruction."
