Portland Officers Encouraged at Appreciation Dinner
On May 6, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team hosted a Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner in Portland, Oregon. Edward Graham, along with his brother, Will Graham (not pictured), shared their gratitude for all that officers do to serve and protect our country.
Dennis Agajanian offered live music during a night of reprieve and respite for officers and their spouses. The musician has played in more than 120 countries, and has helped with Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Crusades since 1974.
Major League Baseball all-star Darryl Strawberry shared how God completely transformed his life.
He recently imparted a similar message before his book signing at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Beforehand, Will Graham and Darryl Strawberry enjoyed a time of fellowship.
The event allowed officers and their spouses a moment to rest and pray after a very challenging year.
An additional law enforcement appreciation dinner was held Tuesday night in Seattle, Washington. Franklin Graham, who requested prayer ahead of the event,
shared on Facebook
, "The Bible tells us to give ‘honor to whom honor is owed,’ and that’s what we want to do. It also says, ‘blessed are the peacemakers.’ Pray for the law enforcement officers across our nation."
