Major Edward Graham Honors Fellow Servicemen at Military Appreciation Luncheon

Dozens of those who served or are currently serving in our nation's armed forces came with their families to a free honorary luncheon at the Shea-Barrows Dining Hall on the grounds of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, located just behind the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Attendees greatly appreciated the opportunity to fellowship with other fellow service members in a Christian environment.
Billy Graham's grandson, Major Edward Graham, shared a message of hope with the crowd, including relatable stories of combat and family experiences along the way.
Edward Graham's message was prefaced by a video clip from Storm Warnings, which is featured in The Journey of Faith tour at the Billy Graham Library. The short video included several quotes from Edward's grandfather: "In the middle of the troubles I will have peace and you will have peace, if you know Christ."
Everyone in the room was given the opportunity to pray and receive Christ.
Veterans listened as Edward Graham shared personal stories, including his passion for China. He and his wife recently adopted a child from China.
Edward Graham spent time meeting both his brothers in combat and in Christ.
The luncheon welcomed servicemen and women from each military branch.
Many attendees were encouraged by Edward Graham's transparency.
As a parting gift, attendees received Billy Graham's devotional Hope for Each Day. Nearly all of the attendees came to the Billy Graham Library to receive their gift and go on The Journey of Faith tour, which recounts the life of Billy Graham and the message he preached.
Billy Graham once said, "We aren't going to have any world peace until Christ, the Prince of Peace is taken into account." At the luncheon, his grandson shared how to have this peace in a war-torn world.
The Billy Graham Library was grateful for the opportunity to celebrate and honor those who currently serve or have served in our nation’s armed forces.
