Billy Graham glorifies God at BGEA 60th Anniversary event.
George Beverly Shea at 102 is as charming as ever.
"I never expected to be a Gospel singer. I was a radio announcer."
Franklin Graham hosted the event at the BGEA headquarters.
Reunited on stage, Barrows and Shea joked with each other often.
Age has only deepened their love and friendship.
"The thing that I remember most from all these years is that our God answers prayers."
"I would ask the Lord for strength for just one more day and He would give it to me."
"We did all of this for only one reason--to glorify Christ."
The men appreciated musical entertainment by the Central Church of God choir.
"When I get to heaven, I am going to sing like Bev Shea."
"To have the fellowship of the team means everything, because we encourage one another."
"Bill has a great heart for team ministry and BGEA is a ministry built on a team relationship."
"I am looking forward to that day when I'll be in heaven and I'll see Ruth again."
"Bill needed people who shared his conviction, his calling and the desire to preach--or sing--the Gospel."
"People like you who have contributed through your gifts and your prayers made it all possible."
"I am very proud of Franklin. I thank God for his leadership."
Don Wilton, Mr. Graham's pastor, led the final prayer.
Staying after the official festivities ended, Mr. Graham greeted friends old and new.
"God bless you all. I love you."
