The first thing I would do is urge you to stop and examine your life. Do you honestly have a deeply satisfying life right now—one that will provide you with a solid foundation for the future? Or is your constant pursuit of “good times” hiding something about yourself you can’t even admit: Down inside, you are empty and desperately afraid of being bored or lonely? Only you can answer that.

But the second thing I would urge you to do is to be honest about the dangers you face. It’s easy to say that someday you’ll turn to God—but will you really? The older we get, the harder it is to turn to Him, because our hearts become calloused and insensitive toward God, and we no longer hear His call. The Bible warns, “A man who remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy” (Proverbs 29:1).

More than that, you may not even have time to repent and turn to God before death takes you. An accident, a sudden health crisis, a violent attack—in an instant you could die and enter eternity, and then it would be too late. Why gamble with your eternal soul?

God made you for a purpose, and life’s greatest joy comes from knowing Him and discovering His will for your life. God loves you, and Jesus Christ gave His life to save you. Don’t let anything keep you from Christ, but give yourself to Him today.
