‘There Is No Explanation’: Nashville School Shooting Leaves Hearts Heavy

Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains ministered in Nashville, Tennessee, through a listening ear, prayer, and simply being present with those grieving. A shooting at The Covenant School on March 27 left three children and three adults dead, and countless more who are mourning their loss.

Talking to people in the community, one chaplain described the mood as heavy.

“We feel for the families and the hurting,” the chaplain said. “There’s people here who try to understand what’s happened here, but it’s difficult.”

Many in the community have asked for prayers as they support each other in the aftermath of this crisis.

“God hears our prayers. God listens to us. God will comfort those who call on His name.”
