The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) ministered in Trumann, Arkansas, and is still serving in two Kentucky communities after 30-plus tornadoes tore apart lives and homes on Friday, December 10.
“[There’s] a lot of hurt, a lot of pain and confusion, especially amplified because of Christmas,” said Charlie Clark, a manager with the BG-RRT.
Horrible tragedies often cause people to have a crisis of faith, he shared. They ask, “Why me? Why did this happen?” Chaplains sit with people, listen to their stories, offer prayer and provide an assurance that God loves them.
“We’re here to bring some hope and peace that we know comes through Jesus Christ.”
