In April 2013, the small town of West, Texas, was devastated by an explosion at a fertilizer plant. Fifteen people were killed, and many more were hurt. Some homes were leveled by the blast, while many others were badly damaged.
Crisis-trained chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team deployed immediately after the explosion to offer emotional and spiritual care to the community.
Three years later, in May 2016, federal officials revealed the fire that led to the explosion was set on purpose.
Pray for the people of West, Texas, grappling with the news that the deadly explosion was caused by arson.
