We've been married for three years, and the only thing we ever argue about is money. Now with the economy getting worse and my husband's job in danger we're arguing even more. How can we avoid this? It upsets us to argue, but it's becoming a real habit.
Answer
My husband and I said we'd never remarry after one of us died. But I've been so lonely after his death last year that I'd give almost anything to find another husband. Would it be wrong for me to remarry, since I always said I wouldn't?
Answer
Our son (in his early 30s) wants to move back in with us after a disastrous marriage. We'd told him he was marrying the wrong woman but he wouldn't listen. My wife says he's crushed and we ought to forget the past, but I'm not so sure. After all, he made a wrong decision, so shouldn't he have to suffer the consequences?
Answer
I finally had to face the fact that my husband was an alcoholic and things weren't going to get better because he had no desire to change. He finally moved out because he said he was tired of my nagging, but now I feel guilty because I'm not around to take care of him. Should I ask him back?
Answer
My wife is totally disabled because of a massive stroke, and probably won't ever get better. Now some of my friends are telling me I'm crazy not to find a mistress. How can I explain to them that God wants me to be faithful to her as long as she lives, without sounding like I'm strange?
Answer
Recently I've been dating a man who takes a class with me at our local community college. We are talking very seriously about marriage, but he is much older than I am, and my mother says I shouldn't marry someone who isn't my age (I am 19). Does the Bible say anything about this?
Answer
I've read somewhere that money causes more fights in a marriage than anything else, and it sure is true with us. To put it simply, I'm a saver and my husband is a spender. Our credit card debt is about to swallow us but he doesn't seem to see the problem. I know this isn't a spiritual issue, but do you have any advice?
Answer
My husband grew up in a religious home, but somewhere along the way he decided it wasn't for him. He isn't a bad person, but it breaks my heart to think we won't be in heaven together. What can I do, besides pray for him (which I do every day)?
Answer
I just don't see how I can ever forgive my ex-husband after all the hurt he caused me. I know Jesus said we ought to forgive others, but why should I bother?
Answer
My oldest sister has been through three bad marriages so far, and maybe that's the reason I've never gotten married. I'd love to be married (I'm almost 24), but I'm so afraid I'll end up like her that I just can't seem to make a commitment to anyone. Is something wrong with me?
Answer
I thought I had gotten off of drugs, and I did for a while (after I got married). But then the marriage went bad and now I'm back in the same rut. I know it's destroying me but I can't do anything about it. I've been through rehab twice but it didn't stick. Please pray for me.
Answer
Having my husband in prison is the hardest thing I've ever had to face, and yet no one seems to care.
