Answer
My fiancé admits he drinks too much sometimes but promises he'll stop once we get married. My parents say he's lying and I'm a fool to believe him, but I can't bear the thought of living without him the rest of my life. Who is right?
Answer
I know preachers like to say that God gave marriage to us, but I think my marriages must have come from the devil. I'm only two years into my third marriage, and now it's fallen apart. How can I be sure my next marriage won't end up the same way?
Answer
My husband has been out of work for 10 months now, and it's been the hardest time of our lives. I'm not even sure our marriage is going to survive. It's not just the lack of money, but his foul moods and even his belief that God has turned His back on us. How can we get through this?
Answer
My niece is getting ready to marry someone who comes from a very different religious background from us (one that isn't Christian). But she says this doesn't really matter, because neither one of them takes their religion seriously. Is she right when she says it won't make any difference?
Answer
I'd like to get married, but I just don't think I can bring myself to trust what anyone tells me, including a prospective husband. I went through a painful divorce several years ago and it's made me very hesitant to commit myself to anyone again. Do you suppose I'll be like this the rest of my life?
Answer
My wife gets upset whenever she catches me reading a magazine or looking at something online that's mildly pornographic. But what's wrong with it? After all, God gave sex to us, didn't He?
Answer
We've had a lot of financial problems in the last year, and the worst part about it is that it's tearing our marriage apart. No matter what we talk about, it ends up in an argument about money and what we've done wrong. Maybe you have some suggestions on how we can get out of this, because I sure want to.
Answer
My boyfriend and I are planning to get married in a few months, and I'd like to ask you a question. What difference does it make whether or not we get married in a church (which is what my mother wants)? A marriage performed by a judge is just as valid as one done by a minister, isn't it?
Answer
My husband is a good man, but he doesn't want anything to do with the church or with God. I think his problem is that he grew up in a very strict religious home, and he's never gotten over his rebellion. How can I witness to him about Jesus, when he won't even talk about it?
Answer
I'm going with someone who isn't of my religion, and while we aren't serious enough for it to be an issue right now, I know it could be in the future. Would it be a sin for me to marry a husband who isn't of my faith?
Answer
My cousin didn't realize that her husband was an alcoholic until they got married, and the last few years have really been hard for her. He's finally going to church with her, but so far it hasn't done much good. Should she just give up on this marriage, as some people are urging her to do?
Answer
I never thought this would happen to me, but the last year or so my wife and I seem to be drifting apart, and now for the first time I'm daydreaming about how good it would be to have an affair with another woman. Is God maybe leading me to start over again?
