Our son (in his early 30s) wants to move back in with us after a disastrous marriage. We'd told him he was marrying the wrong woman but he wouldn't listen. My wife says he's crushed and we ought to forget the past, but I'm not so sure. After all, he made a wrong decision, so shouldn't he have to suffer the consequences?
Answer
My husband says we ought to let our teenaged sons (15 and 17) start drinking alcohol with dinner when we do, because they'll start drinking soon enough anyway and we might as well go ahead and let them. I didn't grow up this way, but do you think this is a good approach?
Answer
Does it do any good to encourage children to believe in Jesus and give their lives to Him? My brother (who's 38 now) supposedly gave his life to Jesus when he was 10 but he hasn't had anything to do with God since college.
Answer
Our 16-year-old son absolutely refuses to go to our church with us. He and some friends have started going to another church that has a youth-oriented service they like, but I hate to think our family will no longer be sitting together in church. Should we insist he come with us?
Answer
I'd like to be a good father, but my ex-wife has our three children most of the time and it seems like all I do is entertain them when they do visit. Do you have any suggestions?

When Mother's Day Hurts
Answer
We're expecting our first baby in a few months, and to be honest I'm scared to death about being a mother. My own mother wasn't a very good role model (drugs, running around, finally abandoning us), and I never learned how to be a good mother. Does the Bible say anything about this?
Answer
I feel so guilty because my son is in prison. What should I have done differently?
Answer
Would it be wrong for me to suggest that my son and his family of four move out of my house?
Answer
Our daughter plans to move in with her boyfriend. We didn't raise her this way. What should we do?
Answer
Our daughter has just informed us that she's getting married, in spite of our strong opposition. She's legally on her own, but is there anything we can do?
Answer
Our son abandoned our two grandchildren and their mother, and now we don't know where he is either. Where did we go wrong?
