Answer
How old does a child have to be before they can understand the Gospel and make their decision to follow Jesus? Neither my husband nor I grew up in a religious home, so we're sort of feeling our way on this with our own children.
Answer
I'm in my 50s, and recently I found out my parents weren't married when I was born (they put me up for adoption anyway, and I never knew them). This has been hard for me, and now I'm even wondering if God will reject me for being illegitimate. Is this possible?
Answer
How do you explain God to a 6-year-old? Our son keeps asking questions about God, but most of them are questions I'm not sure anyone could answer. But I don't want to leave it at that, of course.
Answer
Some people in our church have two sons. They both grew up in the same home but now they've gone very different ways. One is a dedicated Christian but the other is rebellious and wants nothing to do with God. How could this happen?
Answer
What Should I Do If My Adult Children Won't Contact Me?
Answer
Our son has been living with his girlfriend for over a year, and now they're going to have a baby.
Answer
Our college-age son says he doesn't believe in God anymore. We talk about it some (mainly when we're trying to get him to go to church), but we always end up arguing. How can we convince him that he's wrong?
Answer
Our daughter is very determined to get ahead in the world, and to be honest, she doesn't care who she runs over. So far, she's been very successful, but she says she doesn't need God's help. How can we get her to realize that she's on the wrong road?
Answer
How can I be a good father? My own father walked out on us when I was about seven, and I have this terrible fear that I'm not going to be a very good father either. How can I prevent this?
Answer
How can two people who were raised in the same way by the same family be so different when it comes to God? Jesus means everything to me, and my parents were the same way. But my sister has never wanted anything to do with God or the church, and she just laughs when I try to talk with her about it.
Answer
My niece and her live-in boyfriend are having a baby in a few months, and she's hoping I'll put on a baby shower for her. Should I do it? She knows I'm a Christian and don't approve of them being unmarried, but I don't want her to think I'm self-righteous or unconcerned about her or the baby.
Answer
Our son came home at Christmas from his first semester at college, and when we got ready to go to church he announced that he wasn't going because he no longer believed in God. Where did we go wrong? We feel like such failures as parents.
