On Saturday, May 14, the four-city U.K. God Loves You Tour with Franklin Graham kicked off in Liverpool, England. In the coming months, additional stops will take place in South Wales; Sheffield, England; and London, England.
In Liverpool, a faithful group of believers got ready for the God Loves You Tour by walking and praying around Saturday's event space seven times (exemplified in Joshua 15). They also gathered to pray for a spiritual revival in their city during a 12-hour prayer event just days before.
A maritime city in northwest England, Liverpool is situated where the River Mersey flows into the Irish Sea.
“It’s my prayer that people from every walk of life will attend the God Loves You Tour, listen to the Gospel with an open heart, and leave changed by the message of ‘redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24, ESV),'” shared Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA).
The upcoming tour has given churches hope and a focal point to rally behind—something that can help people find a fulfilling life in Christ. This is Franklin Graham's first international event in over two years since he went to Guam and Saipan in February of 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originally scheduled for 2020, the Graham Tour U.K. was postponed—but now is finally taking place. “We want all people to know that God loves them and everlasting life is available to anyone. This remains the purpose for every BGEA event, and it is why we have named the rescheduled tour the ‘God Loves You Tour—U.K.,'” Franklin Graham shared last year.
The BGEA has a long history of ministry in the U.K., starting with Billy Graham’s 1954 outreach that lasted three months.
The seaport city is famously known for being the hometown of The Beatles.
The tour consists of free evangelistic events that include live music, and everyone is welcome. Will you pray for many to come, and that people's hearts will be open to the Gospel?
