Will Graham Shares the Gospel on China Tour
Will Graham visited the Dushu Lake Church in Suzhou on the first stop of the 2017 Music Celebration in the Jiangsu Province of China. An estimated 1,800 people attended the event.
Will Graham's great-grandfather, Dr. Nelson Bell, landed in Shanghai, China, 101 years ago to be a medical missionary. Will opened the Celebration with a video of his great-grandfather reading John 3:16. Will's message also told of God's greatest gift,
Jesus Christ
.
A local band led praise and worship.
There was much joy in God's house.
Several children came all the way from the back of the church in response to the invitation to receive Christ. Shortly afterward, a flood of people covered the front, sides and center aisles of the Dushu Lake Church.
Roy Graham is traveling and participating in the Celebration events with his brother.
In such a densely populated city, motorcycles are a popular way to get around.
The church was packed, with people overflowing into the lobby.
Will Graham asked his
Facebook
followers to pray for him as he ministered to the people of China.
Will has a heart for sharing the Good News with the people of China, continuing his family legacy. His grandmother, Ruth Bell Graham, was born in Huai'an in 1920.
The Music Celebration continued Sunday at Kaile Tang in Changzhou, a city which lies between two major metropolises, Shanghai and Nanjing. Sitting on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, the 2,500-year-old city is crisscrossed by rivers and lakes.
Denver Bierman of Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, a Nashville-based Gospel-centric worship band, brought joyful music to the Celebration.
Finding joy during worship time.
People find worship powerful.
The Chinese people warmly welcomed Will Graham to their church. Many Chinese Christians have a great respect for Will's great-grandparents, Dr. L. Nelson and Virginia Bell, who served as medical missionaries in China.
Jiangsu Province is located in eastern China, bordering the Huanghai Sea with over 1,000 kilometers of coastline. With a total area of more than 102,600 square kilometers and a population of 74.28 million, it is the most densely populated province in China.
The weather was chilly outside but there was a warmth inside from people worshiping their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
