Talk vs. Action

In a decadent society the will to believe, to resist, to contend, to fight, to struggle, is gone. In place of this will to resist, there is the desire to conform, to drift, to follow, to yield, and to give up. This is what happened in Rome, but it also applies to us. The same conditions that prevailed in Rome prevail in our society. Before Rome fell, her standards were abandoned, the family disintegrated, divorce prevailed, immorality was rampant, and faith was at a low ebb. As Gibbon said, “There was much talk of religion, but few practiced it.”

I pray that I will be a light for Jesus and others can see it. Thank you BGEA!

  2. Myrtle says:

Please pray for our church and some of the (so called Christians) in our Church. We are going through a bad time now where we have members that want to run our pastor off. Because he preaches too hard. One thing he preaches about is moms & dads taking their children to play traveling baseball. It’s bad. Two deacons ask told the preacher to leave and a he has no choice but to leave. Me and my family are standing up for the preacher but that’s not enough of the people. It’s bad to say but I prayed that the Lord would remove these 4 or 5 demon Christians out so the Lord can have our church back. Also I have a lot son who really needs prayer that he will straighten up and come back to the Lord. And pray that our preacher will not leave.

Lovely message. It has inspired me to act more on my Christianity and not just say that I am a Christian.

  8. Gerry says:

It is amazing how people follow the same disasterous path that has already proven to lead to absolute ruin in every way. Sadly…..history, (mankind) is set on repeating itself. God help us.
