Power Over Sin

By   •   February 8

The strength for our conquering and our victory is drawn continually from Christ. The Bible does not teach that sin is completely eradicated from the Christian in this life, but it does teach that sin shall no longer reign over you. The strength and power of sin have been broken. The Christian now has resources available to live above and beyond this world. The Bible teaches that whosoever is born of God does not practice sin. It is like the little girl who said that when the devil came knocking with a temptation, she just sent Jesus to the door.

Prayer for the day

  4. Rosario Lewis says:

Yes. Sin has no power over us. Jesus conquered sin on the cross. Today we have so many resources to help us in our walk with Christ. Technology has opened many avenues but we have no time but time for everything else. Today is the time to make a resolution that we will spend time in the morning first with Jesus begin the day with Praise and Worship, thanking God and meditating on The Bible so also evening some time with Jesus the same way. Believe me when I started this happiness and joy has filled my life. Yes there are still temptations and pain. But giving them to Jesus. Palsm 118: 1 to 9. I turned to Jesus and he set me free. I would rather depend on God then on men. Praise to God. Amen

  5. Gerry says:

The spiritual battle is ongoing for believers and unbelievers alike. To be battle-ready one must seek God’s intervention and strength daily in prayer. You can overcome temptation but not on your own.
