The best reason for you to give your life to Jesus Christ is because you need Him. You need Him for this life, and you need Him for the life to come.

You see, so far in life you have been following the devil (whether you realize it or not). He promised that if you would follow him, he would give you happiness and peace. But has he kept his promise? No, not at all–nor will he ever keep it. He also promises you that you don’t need to worry about what will happen when you die–but that too is a lie. The Bible says the devil “is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44). But Christ will never lie to you. You can depend on His promises–and He promises you joy and peace if you will turn your life over to Him. Countless Christians know that promise is true. He also promises you eternal life–and that promise also is true, because He died on the cross to take away your sins.

I could say much more–but I invite you to look at Christ as he is found in the Gospels. When you do, you will discover that God loves you and, no matter what you have done, He can forgive you and give you the power to start life again–even in difficult circumstances. God’s Word is true: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
