PHOTOS: Library Honors U.S. Military Members, Families with Luncheon
The
Billy Graham Library
honored those who have served in our nation's Armed Forces and their families with a BBQ lunch on July 1. More than 200 people attended the event, which featured a message from retired Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin.
Attendees helped themselves to a BBQ lunch, and this youngster was ready to dig in.
The Grigg Bluegrass Quartet played a lively set of Gospel songs, capped off by “America the Beautiful” while guests enjoyed their meals.
Taking time to pray before enjoying lunch together.
Every branch of the military was represented by the guests in attendance.

Those who attended were given a copy of "Undefeated: God's Strategy for Successful Living" by Don Wilton.
Passing down the patriotic spirit.
While the event drew many people local to the Charlotte, North Carolina, area, some guests made the trip from as far away as Philadelphia and Ohio.
Many attendees swapped life stories over lunch.
Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin delivered a powerful message about being a warrior for Christ, and he shared God's
plan of salvation
.
Prayer was a key part of the day and a few people
indicated decisions for Jesus Christ
toward the end of the message.
After Lt. Gen. Boykin's message, attendees were invited to visit the Library and take the
Journey of Faith Tour
.
As you celebrate Independence Day this July Fourth, take time to
thank and pray
for those who have served or are serving the United States of America.
