PHOTOS: Puerto Ricans Show Passion for God at Festival of Hope
Latin GRAMMY award winner
Alex Campos
led the crowd, including many young people, in energetic worship Saturday night during the Festival de Esperanza (Festival of Hope) with Franklin Graham in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Franklin Graham used the story of the Prodigal Son in his message on night two of the
Festival de Esperanza
.
This festive group of clowns, animated characters and ribbon dancers on stilts encouraged children in the crowd to praise God when you’re happy and when you’re sad.
The Festival was held in the open air Hiram Bithorn Stadium, where Billy Graham preached in 1967 and again in 1995 at the San Juan Global Mission.
“I have decided to follow Jesus,” Yashira Guidini sang. Thousands in the crowd sang along, many with both arms raised to the open night sky.
Puerto Rican Gov. Ricardo Rosselló Nevares thanked Franklin Graham for bringing spiritual encouragement to the people of his state.
These two are in the zone with God.
