Artists Light Up the Stage at Oklahoma City Festival Youth Night
The Oklahoma City Good News Festival kicked off on Sat., Aug. 22 at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Franklin Graham told the crowd about his love of Oklahoma BBQ and his motorcycle trips across the state before diving into the Bible and preaching the Gospel.
Skillet, even after being together for nearly 20 years, excites crowds more than ever with their music. More importantly, they boldly share their faith in Jesus Christ.
Atlanta-based DJ Opdiggy knows how to warm up a crowd. His wife, Amena Brown, is a frequent onstage host for Festivals.
“There are many of you here tonight…your life is not right with God, and you know it,” Franklin Graham said. “You can accept Christ or you can reject Him. God loves you, and He sent Jesus Christ to take your sins.”

Invitation time is often emotional for people who are overwhelmed when they realize their need for a Savior.
Korey and John Cooper of Skillet have been married for 18 years. They are strong believers in evangelism and openly share their faith in Christ.
Lacey Sturm is a long-time friend of BGEA. Here, she shares the story of how God rescued her from death, and from herself, the night she was going to commit suicide as a teenager. Her husband accompanied her on guitar as she sang her song "Mercy Tree."
It seemed everyone was fascinated with Dennis Agajanian's guitar-picking skills.
One of many local trained counselors who talked with people who came forward during the invitation to accept Christ.
People of all ages responded to the invitation. The spirit of worship displayed in this boy was moving.
Rapper Dae-Lee has become a favorite of Festival crowds. He performed all original songs, including one titled, "Ur Beautiful." Before he started the song, he urged all young women in the crowd to heed what the Bible says about beauty, and to ignore the pressure of the world to look a certain way.
As the Tommy Coomes Band sang "Come, Just as You Are" during the invitation, many flooded toward the front in a spirit of prayer and repentance.
As part of a pre-show, the two-man band Caves entertained the crowd with a lively acoustic set.
The floor crowd seemed to be as high-octane as the music on stage. Young Festival attendees were excited to grab snapshots of their favorite acts.
