Some 13,800 people came to Cần Thơ Stadium to hear the Good News at the first night of the Season of Love Festival in Southern Vietnam Dec. 3–4.
More than 600 buses and vehicles brought thousands of people from across the 12 provinces of the Mekong Delta region to the Season of Love Festival on Dec. 3.
Franklin Graham shared a Gospel message using the story of a blind man in Mark 10. “Bartimaeus was hopeless, and maybe there are many of you here tonight you feel hopeless,” he said. “You cannot save yourself. There’s only one, and that is Jesus Christ.”
Despite rain most of the day, the weather cleared Tuesday evening as the crowd gathered in Cần Thơ Stadium—an answer to the prayers of believers around the world.
People around the stadium praised God during a time of worship that was led by local and international musicians.
Josh Havens, lead singer of the Christian band The Afters, brought high-energy music to celebrate the first night of the Festival.
The Tommy Coomes Band surprised the crowd by singing their last song, My Hope, in English and Vietnamese.
Franklin Graham holds up a Vietnamese Bible and discipleship materials, which were handed out to those making decisions for Christ on Tuesday night. “We have been looking forward to this for a long time,” Graham said.
People of all ages came forward to accept Christ, and more than 40% of those responding were under the age of 19.
Join us in praying for the hundreds of new believers to grow to maturity in their new faith.
More than 10,000 people came to the Season of Love Festival with Franklin Graham in Cần Thơ, Vietnam, on Dec. 4—in buses, small cars, and everything in between.
“His Love Endures Forever!” rang out of the Cần Thơ Stadium into the city streets on Wednesday night as the crowd inside worshipped together.
Charity Gayle, known for songs like "Thank You Jesus for the Blood" and “I Speak Jesus,” kept His name at the center of worship.
The pouring rain did not dampen the praise of people from across the Mekong Delta region.
“Jesus Christ is not dead,” Franklin Graham told the crowd on Wednesday. “He’s alive. He’s here tonight.” More than 2,000 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior during this week’s two-day outreach.
Dennis Agajanian brought his internationally known fast-picking music to Southern Vietnam—and shared God’s love as he played his guitar.
Some in the audience jumped and clapped to the music, lifting their hands in praise.
The Season of Love Festival featured many local musicians who helped lead worship in their native language. Josh Havens and The Afters shared the stage with their Vietnamese brothers and sisters—and fellow artists—at the end of the evening.
Trained counselors worked tirelessly to make sure each person who responded to Franklin Graham’s invitation to follow Jesus Christ would get connected to a local church. All those who made decisions received a Bible and resources to help them grow in their faith.
More than 900 people surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ on Wednesday. “God’s blessing has come from the sky tonight,” Franklin Graham told the crowd. “Would you like to come to Christ? Would you like to be forgiven?” Please pray for these new Christians, that they will walk closely with God and become bold witnesses of His love.
