Encouraging Oklahoma City Tornado Survivors

By   •   November 15, 2024

Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) chaplains are providing emotional and spiritual support to Oklahoma City residents after at least five tornadoes roared through the area earlier this month. Residents often share their personal stories with chaplains, helping them deal with the trauma they’ve experienced.
The catastrophic winds injured 11 people and damaged over 130 homes. Please pray for those individuals who are grieving and for chaplains as they continue ministering in this area.
A hug or reassuring touch can go a long way for someone who has experienced trauma and grief.
In May, crisis-trained chaplains deployed to Bartlesville and Barnsdall, Okla., after multiple tornadoes left a trail of devastation across the two cities. Now, only 200 miles away, Oklahomans are picking up the pieces after another brutal tornado outbreak. Please pray that—despite great loss—these hurting people will gain lasting hope, peace, and comfort in Jesus Christ.
A Mobile Ministry Center (MMC) provides a safe, quiet space for residents to have conversation and prayer with chaplains.
