Many residents in and around Oklahoma City woke up to severe storm warnings—and some even to collapsing roofs.
Crisis-trained Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BG-RRT) chaplains are heading to the region after at least five tornadoes ripped through parts of Oklahoma late Saturday and continued into Monday—injuring 11 people, damaging more than 130 homes, and knocking out power for thousands.
As individuals begin dealing with the destruction around them, chaplains will be there starting Wednesday to offer emotional and spiritual care in Jesus’ Name.
“Our prayers are with the people of Oklahoma who have been devastated by this terrible disaster,” said Josh Holland, international director of BG-RRT.
“The chaplains will be there for the survivors as they begin the long and difficult process of moving forward in the days to come.”
Please pray for the people suffering in the aftermath of these tornadoes, and for the chaplains who will be ministering to them.
