Shaking in my flip-flops
I was talking to one of my teens from church and really was encouraged and wanted to let you know what happened. She received the training at FM419 so she was a counselor today at Rock the River. She went up front and saw a girl raising her hand for salvation. She said she was intimidated but knew she had to lead this young lady in the most important decision she will ever make. “I was shaking in my flip-flops,” she said with a smile afterward. She said it was easier than she thought it would have been and the other girl was really nice. I could tell she was very excited and I asked, “Did this give you confidence to share her faith more people?” She said, “Yes, I was making a big deal out of nothing.” Just another example of this event discipling our teens and building up leaders for God’s Kingdom.

God bless you,
Ryan Wells

Changed Lives
Hey I’m Austin Warner and I went to Rock The River Baton Rouge. I got there at 5, so I was late. But God still moved. I already had God in my life but I wasn’t goin’ full on, I wasn’t giving 100%. But Rock The River changed that completely; my life is totally changed. It all started when me and 5 other guys went up in the pit when Flyleaf was playing and it just went from there. But the thing that got me was when Anthony Evans was on stage. I don’t know why but God was pulling on my heart. After that my life has changed. Thank you Franklin Graham and Rock The River.

This speech is what opened my heart and changed my life and helped me to become a true Christian. I felt like someone was speaking right through Lacey straight to me, I began to cry as I listened on the front row. I’ve been living a life completely consumed with sex, drugs, and alcohol and I’ve spent 5 years playing in bands consumed with drugs, sex, and violence. A friend of mine invited me to come here, and I gave my life over to God that night. Lacey helped open my heart and I wish I could thank her. Maybe someday, I can play Rock The River and give other people the same feeling. Hopefully I can be an instrument like she was for God to reach people.
