Ruth and Billy Graham’s Love Story

Seventy-eight years ago on August 13, 1943, Billy Graham and Ruth Bell married at Gaither Chapel in Montreat, North Carolina.

Their love story began at Wheaton College in Illinois, and the couple were wed 63 years before Ruth Bell passed away on June 14, 2007 at age 87. Billy Graham’s homegoing was February 21, 2018 at the age of 99.

Billy Graham once said, “Ruth and I don’t have a perfect marriage, but we have a great one.” Their love was deep, as Ruth Bell Graham once attested, “I still would rather see a little bit of Bill than a whole lot of anybody else I know.”
