Hope Lives in Jacksonville
The Greater Jacksonville Festival of Hope with Franklin Graham went on for a second night in Florida. Newsboys lead singer Michael Tait was not shy sharing his faith—or going into the crowd—toward the end of the event.
Perhaps the most emotional moment of the night happened as Lacey Sturm, with her husband Josh, sang "Mercy Tree" and cellphones started lighting up the crowd.
The Bible says we’re like sheep that have gone astray, Franklin Graham said. But it’s not too late to come back to God.
Lacey Sturm got the youth-oriented crowd pumped with a high-energy music set.
Music fans were treated to a wide variety of talent on Saturday night.
Dae-Lee, of Charlotte, North Carolina, talked about being a reflection of God's image to the people around you.
Michael Tait, who first sang at a BGEA Crusade in Cleveland in 1994 with dc Talk, provided contagious energy that had the crowd buzzing.
During worship time, one young girl gave praise to the Lord on her dad's shoulders.
Deciding to follow Christ isn’t a one-time deal, Franklin Graham said, but a lifelong journey. He encouraged new believers to go to church, read the Bible and pray regularly.
Hundreds streamed down the aisles at Franklin Graham's invitation to start a new life in Christ.
Spanish-speaking volunteers were available to walk people through the decision to accept Christ.
Answering questions and leading youth to a relationship with Jesus.
Michael Tait of the Newsboys urged the crowd to tell their friends about Christ and share the hope they have in Him.
"God's Not Dead" and "We Believe" sum up the motto of the Newsboys' message.
Lacey gave a powerful testimony through message and song.
Dae-Lee connected with the crowd with an interactive set.
Only Christ can bring true peace, Franklin Graham told the crowd Saturday.
The Festival of Hope was for all ages.
Understanding what it means to be separated from God.
The Newsboys sign off, after a high-spirited 45-minute set.
