Nov. 7 marks Billy Graham’s 97th birthday.
“He still has a tremendous burden for the lost and faithfully prays for our nation,” Franklin Graham recently shared on Facebook. “He is deeply concerned about the direction of our nation, and I can’t think of a better encouragement on his birthday than knowing that many others are also devoting themselves to fervent prayer and bold action for America.”
Just over a month ago, Billy Graham released his last book called Where I Am: Heaven, Eternity, and Our Life Beyond. It focuses on what the Bible says about eternity and why we need to take it seriously—not only as a country but one on one, no matter where we are.
That same concern and passion for people’s souls is also the driving force behind the latest film from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association—a half-hour program called Value of a Soul. As part of BGEA’s My Hope ministry, it follows three real-life journeys from loss, anger and confusion to transformation through Jesus Christ.
Churches are encouraged to show the video this fall, with the option of using Billy Graham’s 97th birthday as a springboard for sharing the Gospel message.
Franklin Graham will carry on his father’s work all across the nation next year, not just telling people about Jesus but encouraging people to vote for biblical values in local, state and national elections. The Decision America Tour will reach all 50 states by next November, and you can be part of it.
Since the 1950s, Billy Graham’s goal has been to share the Gospel through every means possible. This year, in honor of the 97-year-old evangelist’s birthday, you can do the same, whether it’s in person, through a short film or some other way.
