Healing in Highland Park

What should have been a celebratory Fourth of July parade ended tragically in a wealthy suburb of Chicago where several people lost their lives in a shooting.

Billy Graham chaplains have offered emotional and spiritual care as numerous families, neighbors and business owners process grief.

“This is really a broken community right now, deep sadness,” said chaplain Frieda Roulds. “We have had the opportunity to pray with many, to talk with many, to hear their stories. And hopefully, in allowing them to tell us their story, healing is taking place.”
