Will Graham Brings Gospel to U.K.

Twenty two years after his grandfather, Billy Graham, last preached in the United Kingdom, Will Graham is sharing the Gospel message this weekend in the east London district of Thurrock.

Will Graham, the oldest son of Franklin Graham, is at the tail end of a nearly-three week U.K. trip, speaking at many engagements around England and Wales.

He asks for prayer as he brings the Good News to the British.

“The only thing that can change a heart, that can change a life, is Jesus Christ,” Will Graham said. “Pray that I can communicate that effectively.”

Tonight’s Celebration of Hope event is geared toward the entire family with the Gathering Band bringing worship music and is free to the public.

Saturday and Sunday’s Rock Thurrock events will be tailored to the London area youth, who are dealing with an unemployment rate around 20 percent, among other challenges. Performing both nights will be high-octane Christian bands LZ7, Empire Nation and Beautiful Remnant. Saturday’s event begins at 6 p.m. (1 p.m., Eastern) and Sunday starts at 5 p.m. (noon).

“To tell kids about a love that can absolutely blow their minds, that is our heartbeat,” LZ7 front man Lindz West said. “Seeing kids becoming Christian is our heartbeat.”

London hosted five different Billy Graham Crusades, starting with the 12-week Greater London Crusade in 1954, and the most recent one in 1989.
