Billy Graham Library Celebrates 98th Birthday of Rev. Billy Graham

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 4, 2016 – Rev. Billy Graham will celebrate his 98th birthday on Monday, Nov. 7, at his home in Montreat, N.C. Visitors of the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, N.C., are invited to sign a birthday banner with prayers, memories, and well-wishes for the evangelist through Nov. 7. In addition, the Library is offering free cake on Monday (while supplies last) to visitors in celebration of Graham’s birthday. The Billy Graham Library will host three additional special events in November:

Nov. 5, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.: Meet the Author: Tara McClary Reeves – Meet award-winning children’s author, and local Charlottean, Tara McClary Reeves, daughter of decorated Vietnam veteran and speaker, Clebe McClary. Reeves will be at Ruth’s Attic bookstore on Nov 5. to read to children and sign copies of her books, including Point Me to Jesus: 365 Devotions for Parents and Children. Purchase her book at Ruth’s Attic bookstore, or bring your own. This event is free and open to the public; no prior registration is required.

Nov. 11, 8-10 a.m.: Veterans Day Breakfast and Tour – Military veterans of all ages will be honored for their service with a complimentary hot buffet breakfast and an encouraging message from retired Army Maj. Gen. Douglas Carver, the executive director of chaplaincy services for the North America Mission Board. Guided Journey of Faith tours will take place following the message. This event is currently sold out.

Nov. 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m.: Ladies Night Out – Attendees to this sold out event will get an exclusive preview of the annual Christmas at the Library at the Billy Graham Library. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, be among the first to see the Library’s Christmas decorations, and hear an encouraging message from Jill Kelly. Jill is a gifted speaker, author, and the wife of retired quarterback of the Buffalo Bills and member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Jim Kelly. After the program, guests will have an opportunity to meet Jill and shop for meaningful Christmas gifts in Ruth’s Attic bookstore.
