Answer
I remember you saying once in your column that the Bible says all Christians are saints in God's eyes. But how can that be, since we obviously aren't perfect? I know God has forgiven me, but I think it would be presumptuous of me to call myself a saint.
Answer
My neighbor says he believes in God's judgment, but that it occurs while we are on earth, not after we die. In other words, if we do something wrong God makes us pay for it now, not later. He also believes that everyone will go to heaven, since they already will have paid for their sins while they were alive. This isn't what the Bible says, is it?
Answer
I have a friend who is always reading those prophecies about the future that you see in supermarket tabloids and magazines. She really takes them seriously and tries to follow them, and says God is speaking to her and guiding her through them. Is she right?
Answer
I've tried very hard to think of every sin I have ever committed so I can ask God to forgive them, but I'm sure I've forgotten some of them. Does this mean I won't go to heaven? I really worry about this.
Answer
Do you believe some people can communicate with a person who has died and gone on to the next world? My aunt (who lost her husband recently) has been seeing a medium who claims to be able to do this, but I'm skeptical.
Answer
I led a pretty wild life before I asked Christ to come into my life and clean it up (which He did, thankfully). But is God going to condemn me on the day of judgment for all the bad things I used to do?
Answer
This couple keeps coming to our house and inviting us to come to their assembly hall to study the Bible. I'd like to know something about the Bible, but a friend of mine says this group is a cult. What exactly is a cult? They seem like nice people.
Answer
My parents always told me when I was growing up not to believe everything I read, and I don't. So why should I believe what some preacher says, or even what the Bible says? Maybe it's all just a myth.
Answer
How will we know the Antichrist when he comes? A friend of mine keeps forwarding e-mails to me from a group that claims a certain foreign political leader is the Antichrist, but how do they know?
Answer
My sister is a very zealous member of a religious cult, and recently she got my mother (who's in the early stages of Alzheimer's) to change her will and sign all her property over to her, and says it'll all go to her cult. Is there any way to get this reversed? Mother would be horrified, because she has always been a devout Christian.
Answer
I believe the Bible has much to teach us today, but I can't accept all those supposed miracles that are included in it. Couldn't those things be cut out of the Bible? That way, we'd be left with the parts that everyone could accept and follow.
Answer
Somewhere I heard that the Bible says people love darkness instead of light. I assume this means spiritual darkness, but I don't think it's true. I've been on a search for spiritual enlightenment most of my life because I don't want to live in spiritual darkness.
