The Tri-Cities Region Will Graham Celebration has been a couple of years in the making and was off to a great start Friday with over 2,000 people making their way to Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Will Graham preached from the book of James in the Bible about the brevity of life.
Aaron Shust led the crowd in some favorites like "Ever Be" and "My Hope Is in You." Is your hope in Christ?
Freedom Hall serves as East Tennessee State University's basketball arena, but on Friday, those in the seats sang worship songs and heard about Jesus Christ.
So many who attended were children who weren't shy about being right up front to hear songs about Jesus Christ.
"Living for Christ is the greatest adventure in life," Will Graham told the crowd.
The Adoration Band set the tone for a night of worship to a holy God who cares about us and loves us.
It's a joy to point the younger generation to Christ.
Salvation is "a gift. It's a free gift," Will Graham said. "You just have to be willing to come and receive."
Aaron Shust not only led the crowd in praising God but also took a moment to read from the Bible. "When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you," he read (Matthew 10:19-20).

Throughout the event, several people emphasized the importance of prayer, or talking to God.
The Moore Brothers opened the evening. Watch more of the Tri-Cities Region Celebration Saturday starting at 6:30 ET and Sunday starting at 3:30 ET at BillyGraham.org/live.
