Seeking shade from the 90-plus degree day during Franklin Graham's Myanmar Festival in late November.
Franklin Graham used Mark 10:46-52, the story of Jesus healing blind Bartimaeus, before leading the crowd through a prayer of salvation.
Deuteronomy 6:5 declares, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might."
Sunday was the final night of the Yangon Love Joy Peace Festival in Myanmar. More than 71,000 attended, bringing the three-day total to well over 170,000 people. During the weekend Festival, Franklin Graham shared the Gospel every night, with more than 7,600 people making decisions for Christ. (Photo courtesy of Ryan Smith)
Enjoying a little family time.
Praising Jesus with song.
Families attended the Sunday night Festival, which carried into the evening.
Watching the Festival from a somewhat shaded spot.
Many different types of music were featured during the three-day Festival, all with one goal: glorifying God.
Myanmar churches are praising God for the tremendous response to the Yangon Love Joy Peace Festival with Franklin Graham. More than 170,000 people attended the 3-day event, with over 7,600 indicating decisions for Christ.
The historic Festival in Myanmar was an answer to many prayers and it drew people of all ages.
Hundreds of churches united together to help make the Festival a reality.
Franklin Graham invited people to come down front if they wanted to make a decision for Christ, and trained counselors were ready to talk to anybody interested.
A lighthearted moment as the final day of the Festival got underway.
A trained counselor prays with a young adult who came forward after Franklin Graham led the crowd in a prayer of salvation.
People tried to find a seat where they could as the overflow areas also brimmed to capacity.
The Scripture verse John 3:17 says, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
So what happens after people make decisions for Christ? They are given the opportunity to fill out a card and share their information so local churches can contact them later. Please pray for everyone who made a decision for Christ and for the churches that will follow up with them.
After the Festival, Franklin Graham shared on social media, “I am so thankful that thousands of men, women and young people in Myanmar have responded to the invitation to come home and trust Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of their lives. I thank God for working and give Him the glory. We know there was great celebrating in Heaven over each one.”
