Franklin Graham began the Decision America California Tour stop in Oxnard with a challenge: "We need the Christian voice to be heard in politics. We need Christians to come out and back those with Christian standards."
Jeremy Camp started things out with enthusiasm: "Raise a shout to let all the world know that Jesus saves."
With a forecast of the high 50s, these guys weren't taking a chance.
Oxnard is the 19th biggest city in California and home to about one-third of the state's strawberry production.
Franklin Graham delivered a message, centered around the story of King Belshazzar from Daniel 5. Franklin Graham's Festival house band, The Tommy Coomes Band, sang "Just As I Am" during the invitation, a standard at Billy Graham Crusades.
The message struck home to many.
And hundreds stood in response to Franklin Graham's invitation to accept Christ, many asking for follow-up materials.
A total attendance of 3,700 was announced and through three stops, 17,800 have attended the Decision America California Tour.
Jeremy Camp energized the thousands on the grounds of Oxnard's Beach Park.
Christians from many denominations came together to worship the one true God.
Excitement was not in short supply, even at the T-shirt table.
The 10-stop, 17-day Decision America California Tour rolls on to Bakersfield on Friday and Fresno on Memorial Day.
