Billy Graham Library Hosts Medical Professionals

The Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina, welcomed medical professionals to a special breakfast on March 10. Guests enjoyed a hot buffet breakfast, networking opportunities and The Journey of Faith tour.

The event gave many a chance to spend time with co-workers outside the office and to meet new people.

Dr. John Welshofer, a local doctor at Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine, shared his experiences as a medical missionary in Nicaragua. He challenged medical personnel to consider using their profession to help those in great need and share their faith in Jesus.

"A number of guests shared they could use some encouragement, and that their visit to the Library provided that," said Sonya Johnson, Library promotions manager.

After taking The Journey of Faith tour, one guest said it was “touching to experience the presence of Jesus.” Another said it reassured her faith.

This prescription was written by Ruth Bell Graham's father, Dr. L. Nelson Bell, for a patient in the 1940s. It reads, "Go to church every Sunday."
