Seeing this means so much to me, as I have been to Chiang Mai in 2007 on a mission trip with my church, East Cooper Baptist in Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. We spent time there, in Bangkok, and in Puket. My biggest impression of the country was that I’d never before been in a country where the religion of the land so penetrated the lifes tlyle and mind-set of the people as much as there (later, on another trip to Poland in 2010, I experienced a similar experience with Catholicism). We toured the famous Buddhist religious sites, and I found it all to be so dark spiritually. I am absolutely amazed that this many Thai people turned out to hear the Gospel…what a blessing that is! They are such a lovely people, so desirous of making your stay in their country all that you had hoped it would be, so my heart truly wants for them to know Christ and salvation for life in eternity with him. It was a trip of a lifetime, and we are so grateful for the experience, and the fact that we got to serve the families of all the missionaries in Southeast Asia as they came together for a time of refreshment and respite while we cared for their children from 8-5 every day.
